RAWALPINDI: The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India during a hotline contact have expressed satisfaction over the situation along the Line of Control and Working Boundary since last communication in May this year.
The DGMO of Pakistan, however, expressed concern over violations and deliberate targeting of innocent civilians by Indian troops, which has resulted in casualties of four people and 32 injuries since May 29, especially in broad daylight on 15th and 16th of this month in Leepa sector of LoC, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
It was conveyed that such actions are extremely detrimental to peace on the Line of Control.
The DGMO Pakistan also expressed concern over unusual movement of weapons and forces along the LoC and cautioned Indian DGMO against any provocation, which has the potential to vitiate the environment along the LoC.
Indian DGMO assured that no such move has taken place.
Indian allegation of infiltration and abetment of terrorism along the LoC were strongly rejected by the Pakistani side and Indian DGMO was informed that effective measures are in place and no such presence or movement has been observed by the Pakistani forces.
However, if any actionable intelligence is available, the same may be shared for investigation, it was added.
