JioPhone 2 debuts at Rs 2,999 on jio.com’s flash sale on Thursday

Mumbai: Reliance Jio’s new phone “JioPhone 2” would be available for online purchase at a price of Rs 2,999 in a flash sale on jio.com on Thursday, August 16, sources said on Tuesday.

Accordingly, the flash sale for the new model which features a “QWERTY” keypad would start at 12 p.m. on Thursday.

Further, starting Wednesday, August 15, all JioPhone models customers would be able to use Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps on their phones, the source said, adding that messaging application Whatsapp would also be available soon.

Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh D. Ambani had announced the new phone’s Independence Day launch during the 41st Annual General Meeting in July.
