PIA’s post-Hajj flights start bringing back pilgrims to Pakistan

LAHORE: Post-Hajj operations of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started from Monday as flights carrying Hajj pilgrims back landed in Karachi and Islamabad yesterday.

The first post-Hajj flight to Lahore with 329 pilgrims on-board landed Tuesday morning in the city.

On Monday, two PIA flights landed in Karachi and Islamabad carrying around 700 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia back to home.

The airlines in a statement on its social media page said, “PIA will operate 225 Hajj and regular scheduled flights from Saudi Arabia.”

About 68,000 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia will be brought back to Pakistan by PIA through Hajj and regular scheduled flights. The post-Hajj operation of PIA will be concluded by September 25.
