
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will depart for Saudi Arabia today to attend an important conference featuring top business giants.
The conference theme is titled ‘Future Investment Initiative’ and it will begin in Riyadh on Tuesday.
This is PM Khan’s second visit to the Kingdom in near a month. Khan made his maiden visit to the Saudi Arabia as PM on Sep 18.
Mr Khan is going on the second visit on special invitation of King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz.
The conference, in which PM will be participating titled “Davos in the Desert” will bring leading businessmen, investors, corporate giants, representatives of hi-tech industry and major media outlets at one platform.
Prime Minister Imran Khan’s participation in first day of the Conference is aimed at projecting Pakistan’s economic and investment potential as well as its vision for the next five years.
The Conference will provide an opportunity to interact with important business leaders who are interested in investing in Pakistan.
Imran Khan will also call on King Salman and meet Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to discuss matters of mutual interest with them.
During his first visit to the Kingdom, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry accompanied the premier.
During his two-day visit, Khan met King Salman and discussed many important bilateral, regional and international issues. Similarly, matters related to welfare of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia and ways to enhance people to people contact also came up during the discussion.
Khan also performed Umrah during his visit.
