Police file another case against MQM-P lawmaker Salman Mujahid Baloch

KARACHI: One more case incorporating charges of kidnapping and making death threats has been filed against MPA Salman Mujahid Baloch at Taimuria police station here on Thursday.

The case has been registered on the complaint of a woman accusing Baloch of sexual exploitation.

A woman named Aleena Khan claimed that Baloch had sexually exploited her and has been blackmailing her.

Previously, the woman had filed a complaint at Gulshan police station demanding protection from Salman Mujahid Baloch, who she claims not only raped her in 2014 but is now blackmailing her and her family through a video recording of the incident, demanding millions of rupees.

The woman maintained that Salman Mujahid gained her confidence by meeting her mother and then took her to Islamabad on the pretext of finding her a good job but instead raped her on August 12, 2014 when she was about 16 or 17 in Parliament Lodges.

“When we returned to Karachi on August 13, I told my mother about the incident upon which Salman Mujahid apologised and promised that he will marry me but never fulfilled his promise and raped me multiple times by blackmailing me through the video,” reads the complaint addressed to Station House Officer Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

She added that Salman Mujahid also tortured her brother and is now demanding four million rupees along with pressurizing her husband to divorce her.

Salman Mujahid, who recently rejoined MQM-Pakistan after leaving Mustafa Kamal-led Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), on the other hand, claimed that the woman owes her the money and termed all her accusations a conspiracy against him.

The MNA maintained that he has already approached police against the woman as she borrowed at least Rs4 million from him by falsely claiming that her mother is undergoing cancer treatment at a hospital.
