US phantom-bombers cut through thick fog above the UK ahead of exercises
American B52 aircrafts had to break through a thick blanket of fog in Gloucestershire on Tuesday, in order to achieve a safe landing on Royal Air Force (RAF) Fairford station. The three bombers had to circle around for some time before attempting to land with almost zero visibility. The B52 bombers from Minot Air Force base will be stationed at RAF Fairford for a three week exercise.
