Karachi becoming city of lights again, says Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Sunday successful staging of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi was an evidence of its becoming the city of lights again.

“The enthusiasm of people of Karachi is worth watching as the city has come out of the reign of fear and is back on its lively galore,” she said in a statement.

She said due to the incumbent government’s efforts the country had become a cradle of peace.

The information minister said the people and security forces had rendered matchless sacrifices for the restoration of peace in the country.

Welcoming the foreign as well as national players, Marriyum Aurangzeb said their arrival had not only revived sports activities in Pakistan but also added to the zest and fervor of our people.

She prayed for lasting peace in the country and successful conclusion of the mega cricketing event.
