
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday took a notice of a petition filed by a jail worker that exposed the widespread corruption and the presence of criminal elements in the prisons of Punjab.
The petitioner claimed in his petition that criminals involved in various offenses belong to influential people like Nawaz Sharif and Ranasanaullah, leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).

The jail worker mentioned in his petition that he had been attacked with murderous intent due to revealing nefarious activities going inside jails of Punjab.
The top judge took immediate notice of the matter.
