Mudhole: 12 buffaloes died of electrocution in Mudhole. According to sources, an electric wire was dangling and touching a lake. Representations were made regarding that to Transco officials but to no avail. Due to the negligence of the authorities, such a big accident occurred. The buffaloes entered into the lake to drink water after grazing. As soon as the 12 buffaloes entered the lake they got electrocuted.
Various party leaders staged Rasta roko in Mudhole to mark their protest against the incident. The protest ended after the government agreed to give compensation to the buffalo owners.
