Hyderabad: on Tuesday, Karachi Bakery was fined by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation for selling unhygienic food.
A customer had lodged a complaint after finding worms in a sealed chocolate box, which he had purchased at Karachi Ameerpet branch.
Mr. Sudharshan Reddy, GHMC Food Safety Inspector said, “though Karachi was not the manufacturer of the sold product, it has been fined for selling unhygienic food.”
“As a safety the corporation has collected three more samples and sent for further investigation to the food sampling testing lab at Nacharam,” he added.
