SHO among three policemen killed in Muridke gun attack

SHEIKHUPURA: Three policemen, including a SHO of Lahore police station, were killed in a gun attack near Muridke, ARY News reported on Monday.

According to reports, Inspector Zahid Mehmood, the SHO of Lahore’s Rang Mahal police station, was on his way to the police station, when attackers opened fire at his vehicle killing his gunman and the driver on the spot, while Inspector Zahid Mehmood sustained serious injuries.

The attackers were said to be in a car and they ambushed the car of the SHO at Muridke, when he was coming from his home in Sheikhupura.

The police inspector succumbed to his injuries while he was being taken to hospital for medical attendance.

The incident said to be result of an old enmity as a nephew of Inspector Zahid was recently killed, police sources said.
