New Delhi: Disappointed with Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s recent string of controversial claims, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah reportedly to give some stern advice to him, top BJP sources said.

According to the sources, Deb who will be in the capital city on May 2, may get ‘taking caution’ advice while making public statements, says an India Today report. Tripura CM is scheduled to attend a meeting of chief ministers of north-eastern states on May 5 in Delhi.

Meanwhile, when reached to his office, it told India Today that “he may spend three days in Delhi meeting different central ministers and party leaders to discuss development schemes for Tripura and internal matters of the party”.

Deb had recently made several controversial statements that even include one statement defying science. The Internet existed at the time of Mahabharat, he had claimed. When reached out for clarification, he maintained his stance.
