
Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks extended the previous day’s gains on Thursday morning as concerns over trade and Syria ease, while hopes rise that talks between Donald Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un will take place.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.82 percent, or 248.70 points, to 30,532.95.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.09 percent, or 2.87 points, to 3,094.27, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, edged down 0.06 points to 1,803.78.
