ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase in the prices of petroleum products for the month of May, ARY News reported.
OGRA has sent a summary to the Ministry of Petroleum to this effect. According to the summary, the price of petrol will go up by Rs 3.22.
The regulatory authority has recommended a Rs 5.2 increase in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) and Rs 6.95 in light diesel oil (LDO).
The price of Kerosene oil has been recommended to be jacked up by Rs 6.97.
On March 31, the government reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.07 and Rs 2 a litre respectively for the month of April and maintained the prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO) at the same level as in March.
The petrol price was slashed by Rs 2,07 to Rs 86 a litre and high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 2.00 to Rs 96.45 a liter.
However, the price of kerosene oil had been maintained at Rs 76.46 a liter, and light diesel oil (LDO) at Rs 65.30 a liter.
