ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Thursday categorically denied all rumours of differences with his wife Bushra Maneka, ARY News reported.
Speaking exclusively to ARY News, the PTI chief said that such rumours are spread by rival Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to gain political benefits.
“As long as we both are alive, we will live together,” Imran Khan announced during ARY News show ‘Power Play’
A section of media reported this week that Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Maneka has returned back to her maternal home following a dispute with Imran Khan.
‘PTI only option for Chaudhry Nisar’
Coming back to politics, Imran Khan said that he thinks PTI is the only option for the disgruntled PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar.
“If He (Nisar) is worried about Pakistan, then he should choose between taking orders from Maryam Nawaz or utilizing his vast experience in politics for the betterment of country,” said Imran Khan.
He claimed that he has sent this message to Nisar through a common friend and is now waiting for the former interior minister’s response.
“He is just afraid to take the leap and I can understand that for he has years of relations with Sharifs,” said the PTI chief.
‘South Punjab as administrative unit’
When asked whether he supports the newly formed political party ‘Junoobi Punjab Sooba Mahaz’, Imran Khan said that he thinks their demands including making a new province are genuine but they should join PTI.
“I agree with them on all counts for half of Punjab’s development budget gets spent in Lahore and people of South Punjab face a lot of hardships, so a province should also be made but it shouldn’t be Seraiki province but an administrative unit,” said Imran Khan.
He, however, added that they (JPSM leaders) should not form a separate political group but instead join PTI.
