California judge criticized in rape sentencing appears headed for recall

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The California judge who drew worldwide condemnation for giving a six-month jail sentence to a former Stanford University swimmer convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman appeared headed for removal in a recall election on Tuesday, early returns showed.
